PERSONAL STATEMENT
Do you feel as though you need to face your problems alone out of fear that you will be judged or misunderstood by others? Many people do, and that is why it is so important to me to provide both individuals and couples with understanding (free of judgment) as well as skills to cope with a variety of issues. My approach to therapy is one that is collaborative, in which you are the expert on your life and my job is to help you identify and reach your individualized goals.
I offer individual counseling to adolescents (12+) and adults, as well as counseling to couples in all stages of their relationship. I have experience working with couples on issues of betrayal, communication, conflict management, and premarital counseling. I also specialize in supporting individuals and their family members who are coping with substance use, trauma, life adjustment/transitions, depression, anxiety, and other mental health diagnoses.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Gottman therapy. I am also passionate about self-compassion and establishing healthy boundaries, which I integrate into all of my work. If you are interested in making positive changes in your life, I would love to meet with you to discuss how we can work toward goals that are meaningful to you.
