PERSONAL STATEMENT
I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults who are trying to figure out who they are and/or who they want to be. I understand that life’s challenges might interfere or distract a person from reaching their full potential. If you are experiencing discomfort or confusion as you navigate "adulting", or you are struggling with self-esteem, body image, anxiety, or depression, I am here to help!
I offer individual counseling to adolescents (age 12+) and adults, as well as parent-child sessions with adolescents. I have experience working with issues including body image and eating disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, and family/relationship issues. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and have a particular interest in working with queer, transgender, and nonbinary clients.
I have a strength-focused, relational approach to therapy, and I use several therapeutic frameworks including Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Intuitive Eating practices. I am HAES (Health At Every Size) aligned and take a weight-neutral approach to body image and eating disorder counseling.
I believe in meeting my clients where they are rather than holding expectations, preconceived notions, or agendas of my own. I have a warm, non-judgmental aura that allows clients to feel safe when working with me. I believe that every person possesses the ability to find inner peace and reach their goals.
