Jacqueline Garrity, M.R.C, LPC

PERSONAL STATEMENT

Whether you are a student athlete feeling the pressure to succeed both on and off the field, a mom carrying the weight of running a household while navigating societal pressures to “get it right”, or a young adult whose life is full of transition and a mission to determine your purpose, I know that life can be overwhelming to navigate alone.

What do all of these roles have in common? Each of these individuals are navigating confidence, performance anxiety, fear of failure, and the weight of expectations. Each of these roles involve transition, redefining identities, and adjusting to new responsibilities and expectations in seasons that can feel uncertain, overwhelming, but also hold tremendous opportunity for growth and flourishing.

As a former collegiate athlete, coach, special education teacher, school counselor, and a mom myself, I understand the visible and invisible demands of performance, transition, and parenting. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify their strengths to shift unhelpful thought patterns into clear, actionable steps forward.

You don’t have to carry it alone. It would be an honor to be on your team.
